History

Congregation Beth Jacob Galveston founded in 1931 occupied its new home in 1932. The founders of CBJG brought together families with roots in the late 19th Century.

In mid-2011 after the successful 80th Anniversary Homecoming Celebration and retaining a full time Rabbi after being without for more than a decade, Beth Jacob Galveston initiated the development of a Five (5) Year Plan that would assure the future of the Congregation and the utilization of its assests to their highest and best use.
